P16 FOR JORDAN LOVE IN ROUND TWO OF NLS CAMPAIGN
Round two of the NLS weekend took place this weekend at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, Germany, with Jordan Love and his #6 Haupt Team Racing securing a P16 finish in their Mercedes-AMG GT3.
Wet and challenging weather conditions set the scene at the Nurburgring and Jordan’s #6 Mercedes-AMG GT3 team qualified in P20 for the start of the four-hour race.
Taking a gamble in the hope to make early progress in the race, the team elected to start on the wet tyre. A decision that immediately paid dividends as Jordan was able to overtake multiple rivals and move up into P5.
However, as the weather conditions changed, the track began to dry and the benefit of the wet tyre began to deteriorate.
With Jordan’s early race progress on the wet tyre, Jordan and the team were still able to make steady progress, improving four places on their qualifying position and finishing the race in P16.
The NLS campaign continues in two weeks’ time, with the 54th Adenauer ADAC Circuit Trophy taking place on the weekend of 14-15 April.
“I think at times this weekend we showed really good pace and learnt some valuable lessons which will help us as the season progresses. We took some gambles, and a few things didn’t quite go our way but it was great to get some valuable laps completed in tricky conditions and I can’t wait to go again in two weeks’ time.”
